Executive Director's Office

Dr Andrew G. Seguya

UWEC is headed by the Executive Director, Dr Andrew G. Seguya who is the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation. Dr Seguya is a veterinarian by profession, an MBA and also a Monitoring and Evaluation professional. He joined UWEC in 2005 from Botswana (no, he is Ugandan!).

Administration and Finance department

Mr David Kasumba

The Finance and Administration department is headed by the Manager Mr David Kasumba CPA. He joined UWEC in 2005 and has presided over the transformation of UWEC's financial systems

Education and information department

UWEC is at the forefront of Conservation Education in Uganda. This is one of the crucial mandated roles played by a dedicated team comprising the Manager- Education & Information, Education officer, 2 education Assistants, a warden and 12 volunteer educators.

The Animal department plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of the organization. Animal welfare is a top priority and the department ensures professional management of the captive animal collection as well as confiscated, injured, orphaned and other rescued wildlife.
